    Take your stained glass skills to the next level! This intermediate class is designed for students who have completed the introductory stained glass course and are ready to build on their existing skills. You’ll have the opportunity to work on more detailed designs, refine your techniques, and create projects that challenge you to grow as a stained glass artist.

    Throughout the class, we’ll focus on improving your cutting, grinding, foiling, and soldering techniques while introducing more advanced approaches to stained glass construction. Students will have more freedom to select and develop projects based on their interests and skill level.

    Glass can be purchased from ICC FabLab or at online or local retail stores.

    In this class, you will learn:

    • Cutting and soldering
    • Foil and Tiffany Style
    • How to use lead strips

    The class is held at ICC FabLab in Room 108. Each Class will be held on Thursday evenings from 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM.

    The first class is September 29th and the last class will be December 8th.

    Supply list

    Safety Equipment:

    • We have plenty of Safety Glasses, but if you can bring your own
    • Rubber Gloves (Not needed for first class)

    Student Supplies:

    • Running Pliers*
    • Grozier (Nippers) Pliers*
    • Pistol Grip Glass Cutter*
    • Wire cutters (Any)
    • 1 LB Roll 60/40 Stained Glass Solder*
    • 1 Roll 1/4 Inch Stained Glass Copper Tape* (Pkg is round like a CD)
    • Toolbox or bag to keep supplies in.
    • Flat storage container to keep project in (at least 12" X 16", 4" tall).

    *Star indicates this item can be found at Hobby Lobby, Amazon, Anything in Stained Glass, Delphi Glass, etc.

    Glass can be purchased at Hobby Lobby or Bearden Stained Glass in Wichita. 

    If unsure about purchasing tools, the instructor will have tools you can use.  Must bring foil and solder.

    Very casual, laid back atmosphere, pajama pants welcomed but closed toe shoes are required.

    Work surface, books, patterns, soldering irons and chemicals provided

    Join our stained glass class and discover the relaxing art of cutting, foiling, and soldering. In this beginner course you'll leave with your own beautiful, handcrafted piece to brighten your home.

    The new student registration fee covers the materials for your first project. In this class, you will be taught foundational skills and techniques like cutting, grinding, and soldering using the copper foil method.
